Blower Motor Control
Blower Motor ControlThe Air Conditioning Control Module (A/CCM) controls the speed of the blower motors which deliver air to the heating/air conditioning unit. The motors are regulated by power transistor modules which provide linear variation of blower speed.
The blower speed is increased or reduced progressively in response to changes in vehicle speed, to minimize the ram effect of forward motion. The blower motors are inhibited when heating is requested and the engine coolant temperature is below 30 °C.
