Rear Bumper Shock Absorber: Service and Repair

Removal


WARNING: THE REAR BUMPER IS CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST PIPES WHICH MAY BE HOT. CARE MUST THEREFORE BE EXERCISED WHEN WORKING IN THIS VICINITY.


1. Remove rear bumper assembly.





2. Remove rear strut.
1 Slacken and remove rear strut securing bolts.
2 Remove strut from body rear panel.
3 Remove and discard strut gasket.





3. Fit rear strut.
1 Fit and align new strut gasket.
2 Position rear strut.
3 Fit and tighten strut securing bolts
4. Fit rear bumper.
