ISSUE:

A limited number of XJR vehicles within the above VIN range may experience contact between the engine harness and the EGR pipe joint at the throttle body adapter.

ACTION:





On XJR vehicles within the above VIN range, relocate and secure the engine harness with an additional tie strap (arrow, Illustration 1) to prevent potential contact between the engine harness and the EGR pipe. Refer to the procedure in this bulletin.

RELOCATING HARNESS AND INSTALLING TIE STRAP

1. Raise vehicle on lift.





2. Locate the EGR pipe joint at the throttle body adapter (Illustration 2).

3. Position a tie strap (part no. ADU 9028) through the supercharger mounting as shown in Illustration 2.

4. Relocate the engine harness toward the tie strap and secure the harness to the supercharger mounting.

5. Lower the vehicle.

Submit claims on the Recall Campaign Summary form W-25. Enter the appropriate summary code for the vehicle model and work performed in the Repair Code column. Do not use the W-1 warranty claim form.
