Portable Diagnostic Unit Software Issue - PDU 1031

ISSUE:

PDU 1031 has been released and contains all the software that was available on PDU 1030 with the following upgrades:

VEHICLE WIRING INFORMATION

Drivers Door harness - wiring information for this harness is available for all associated functions.

General Wiring Information Improvements - Software for the long wheel base sedan incorporates corrections to the vehicle database.

ANALOGUE DATALOGGER

The TOOLBOX function titled "ANALOGUE DATALOGGER" now supports signal help in all languages.

POWERTRAIN DATALOGGER

The POWERTRAIN DATALOGGER selected via TOOLBOX, provides PDU cable setup depending on the need to use the measurement probe:

^ Serial communications diagnostics through the vehicle J1962 OBDII connector.

^ Same as above, but also enables the technician to back probe connectors with the current measurement probe for individual circuit diagnostics.

This selectable configuration was lost on PDU 1030 following the introduction of the software version display required for USA dealers to comply with emissions legislation.

ACTION:

Retain PDU 1030 in a secure place as a backup CD-ROM in the event 1031 is damaged.
