ISSUE:

Since the Jaguar Diagnostic System (JDS) has been superseded by the Portable Diagnostic Unit (PDU) and the Multimedia PC, a new Repair Operation Time has been issued to reimburse dealers for connecting the PDU to the multimedia PC to capture PDU screen displays. These displays can then be printed out.

ACTION:

Use this operation only in conjunction with repair operations that included PDU diagnostic time when a print-out is required. Do not use this operation in conjunction with operations that end in .09,79, or .89 in the seventh and eight digits, which do not include diagnostic time.

Refer to Administration Bulletin 1-73 for instructions on the use of PDU Download Capture.

WARRANTY POLICY:

Any claim for PDU diagnostic time (structured operation or shop time) must be supported by a print out. The print out must be attached to the hard copy of the repair order. Unsupported diagnostic time will be charged back.
