Rear Seats
The standard vehicle is equipped with bench type rear seats and has full width removable cushion.
On long wheel-base models, two individual rear seats are fitted as standard for Japan and as an option for all other markets except USA. The seats have electrical adjustment and heating.
Adjustment is for the fore and aft position of the cushion (which simultaneously the recline angle of the squab), the the height of the head restrained, and the firmness of the lumbar support.
Each seat has separate electric motors for adjustment of the seat cushion and the head restrained. A electric air pump is used for the adjustment of the lumbar support.
The adjustments are controlled via a control module and (for the left seat) a lumbar deflate relay. The switches are fitted to the console located between the rear seats,
A link harness connects the cabin harness to the rear seats, the switches and the control module.
Electrical components installed on the heel board below the rear passenger seat are protected by two covers secured by two locating brackets on the floor and by two latches on the cover. The latches are released by pushing down on the two recesses in the top edge of the cover.
