Removal and Installation, Sliding Roof Assembly





- Remove sliding roof flange finisher.
- Remove the grab handle by displacing the grab handle finishers.





- Remove the grab handle fixing screws.




- Remove the coat hanger hook, 'E' Post reading / courtesy lamp and intrusion sensor.





- Remove roof console for access.
- Remove both illuminated sun visor assemblies.
- Remove cantrail crash rolls.
- Remove all rear quarter upper trim pads. Service and Repair
- Lower sliding roof headlining for access.
- Disconnect vehicle harness-multi plugs from SRCM





- Disconnect drain tubes from sliding roof frame stub pipes.
- Undo and remove fixings, securing sliding roof frame assembly rear support brackets to body.
- Undo and remove fixings securing rear support brackets to frame and body and remove brackets.





- Undo and remove seven, frame assembly to body securing bolts (this leaves one bolt on each side to support frame).
- With the aid of another person, remove and undo remaining center fixings and carefully remove the sliding roof assembly from vehicle through the passenger door.
- Retrieve the plastic retaining washers used with the frame to body securing bolts.
- Place sliding roof assembly aside.





- Fit securing bolts and plastic retaining washers to sliding roof fixing holes.
- With the aid of another person, fit the new sliding roof assembly to vehicle and align with body fixing holes.
- Finger tighten the center fixing bolt on each side to the support bracket.
- Finger tighten remaining fixing bolts.
- Align sliding roof assembly to body using two suitable pieces of material of * 15 mm.

NOTE: The material for the above operation may include * 15 mm drill shank, silver steel or metal bar stock.

- Final tighten sliding roof to body securing bolts.
- Fit and align rear support brackets to sliding roof frame and body.
- Fit but do not tighten rear support brackets to frame fixing bolts.
- Fit but do not tighten rear support brackets to body fixing bolts.
- Align rear support brackets.
- Final tighten rear support brackets fixing bolts.
- Reconnect and refit all remaining components.
