EGR Valve: Service and Repair

1. Open the hood and fit a wing cover.
2. Open the trunk and remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the battery ground lead.
4. Disconnect the EGR valve harness multi-plug.
5. Undo and remove the EGR valve securing bolts.
6. Remove the EGR valve and valve gasket.
7. Clean the valve mating faces.

NOTE: Fitting a new EGR valve is the reverse of the removal procedure.
