Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

1. Open the hood and fit a wing cover.
2. Displace and remove the fastener securing the air cleaner to front panel blanking cover. Remove the blanking cover.
3. Release the air cleaner cover retaining clips. Remove the cover and the filter element.
4. Displace and remove the filter cover from the inner wing grommet.
5. Disconnect the purge valve connector.
6. Release the clip securing the canister to purge valve hose. Disconnect the hose from the purge valve.
7. Disconnect the elbow from the front of the purge valve.
8. Undo and remove the purge valve mounting nuts.
9. Displace and remove the purge valve from the mounting bracket.
NOTE: Refitting the purge valve is the reverse of the removal procedure.
