1. Carefully remove the caliper retaining spring (1).
2. Remove the caliper to carrier securing bolt covers (2).
3. Remove the socket head securing bolts (3). Remove the caliper from the carrier.

NOTE: Do not allow the caliper to hang with the weight on the feed hose. Ensure it is placed safely and securely aside.

4. Remove the brake pads (4) from the caliper, and safely discard the worn brake pads.

WARNING: BRAKE PAD/LINING DUST CAN CONTAIN ASBESTOS WHICH IF INHALED, CAN DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH. ALWAYS USE A VACUUM BRUSH TO REMOVE DRY BRAKE PAD/LINING DUST. NEVER USE AN AIR LINE.

5. Carefully remove any brake dust or dirt from the caliper area.
6. Ensure the caliper piston is fully retracted and install new brake pads.

NOTE: The pad with the spring clip attached locates into the caliper piston.

7. Position the caliper and pad assembly to the carrier. Lubricate, then fit and tighten the caliper securing bolts. Torque 25 to 30 (18.5 to 22.2 ft lbs). Install the caliper securing bolt covers and the caliper retaining spring.
8. Install the roadwheel, torque 88 to 102 Nm (65.1 to 75.4 ft lb).
9. Check the brake fluid and top up as necessary.

NOTE: Application of the brake pedal must be carried out, as the brake will not operate efficiently until the pads are correctly positioned. It may be necessary to run the engine to give power assistance to the brake pedal.
