Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Mechanical: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Extra air valve provides additional air for cold starting.

Auxiliary Air Valve:

CONSTRUCTION
Valve consists of a variable orifice, controlled by a temperature sensitive expansion element, to control idle during engine warm-up.

Auxiliary Air Valve:

LOCATION
It is mounted at rear of left cylinder head, in coolant rail.
