Vehicle Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
This sensor provides a signal to SPEED INTERFACE UNIT which then provides the signal to EFI ECM.

OPERATION
Sensor is a variable reluctance coil device producing a pulsed signal. Pulse frequency is calculated by ECM as road speed.

LOCATION
Sensor is mounted on differential.
