Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure




1. Mark the wiper park position on the windshield with a suitable non-permanent marker.
2. Remove the cover from the wiper arm assembly.
3. Remove the wiper arm assembly retaining nut.




4. Remove the wiper arm assembly from the wiper transmission drive shaft.

Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note Service Precautions




1. Install the wiper arm assembly onto the wiper transmission drive shaft.
1. Align the wiper arm assembly with the marks made on the windshield.
2. Push the wiper arm assembly down onto the wiper transmission drive shaft completely.





2. Install the retaining nut onto the wiper transmission drive shaft and the wiper arm assembly.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 23 N.m (17 lb ft)

3. Install the cover on the wiper arm assembly over the nut.

Inspection Procedure
Perform the System Check.
