Knock or Clunk Noise

Knock or Clunk Noise

Definition:
Knocking or clunking noise occurs when operating the vehicle in high gear or coasting in neutral at 16 km/h (10mph).
Condition:
The universal joint is worn or damaged.
Action:
Replace the worn or damaged universal joint.

Condition:
The side gear hub counterbore in the differential is worn oversize.
Action:
Replace the differential case and/or side gears.
