Valve Body: Service and Repair
Valve BodyRemoval Procedure
1. Remove the oil pan, gasket, and filter.
Refer to AT Fluid/Filter Changing.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the control valve Body components.
3. Remove the bolts securing the pressure switch to the control valve Body
4. Remove the torque converter clutch solenoid bolts.
5. Remove the retainer clip, torque converter clutch solenoid, and the O-ring.
6. Remove the wiring harness bolts and let the wiring harness hang.
7. Remove the manual shift detent spring bolt.
8. Remove the manual shift detent spring assembly.
9. Remove the remaining control valve Body bolts.
10. Remove the manual valve link and the control valve Body from the transmission case.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the manual valve link and the control valve Body to the transmission case.
2. Install the remaining control valve Body bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (8 lb ft).
3. Install the manual shift detent spring assembly.
4. Install the manual shift detent spring bolt.
5. Install the O-ring, torque converter clutch solenoid, and retainer clip.
6. Install the wiring harness and bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (8 lb ft).
7. Install the torque converter clutch solenoid bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (8 lb ft).
8. Install the bolts securing the pressure switch to the control valve Body.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (8 lb ft).
9. Connect the electrical connectors to the control valve Body components.
10. Install the filter, gasket, and oil pan.
