Pressure Sensor

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.




2. Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor from the evaporator tube.
3. Remove and discard the O-ring seal from the refrigerant sensor port on the evaporator tube.

Installation Procedure




1. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the refrigerant pressure sensor port on the evaporator tube.
2. Lightly coat the new O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT allow any of the mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil on the O-ring seal to enter the refrigerant system.

3. Slide the new O-ring seal onto the refrigerant pressure sensor port on the evaporator tube front until the unit is fully seated.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Service Precautions.

4. Install the refrigerant pressure sensor to the evaporator tube.

Tighten
Tighten the refrigerant pressure sensor to 4.8 N.m (42 lb in).




5. Connect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
