Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair




Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear Window garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar in Interior Trim.
2. Remove the rear inner panel carpet. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Rear Panel in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the anchor-plate, spacer, washer, and bolt.
4. Clean outer surface of the anchor-plate bolt hole.




Installation Procedure
1. Apply the appropriate sealer to the outer surface of the anchor-plate bolt hole.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Service Precaution.

2. Install the anchor-plate, spacer, washer, and bolt.

Tighten: Tighten the anchor-plate retaining nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the rear inner panel carpet. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Rear Panel in Interior Trim.
4. Install the rear Window garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar in Interior Trim.
