Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

REMOVAL






1. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Raise the vehicle.




4. Wipe the vent hose connection at the fuel tank and then disconnect the vent tube and clamp (1).
5. Wipe the fuel filler tube connection at the fuel tank and then disconnect the fuel filler tube and clamp (1).
6. Disconnect the filler tube ground strap (2).
7. Remove the fuel tube attaching screws and the fuel filler tube.

INSTALLATION




1. Install the fuel filler tube and the fuel filler tube attaching screws.
2. Connect the fuel filler vent hose and clamp.
3. Connect the fuel filler tube hose and clamp.




4. Connect the filler tube ground strap (2).
5. Reinstall the fuel tank filler cap.
6. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
7. Check for leaks.
