REMOVAL






1. IMPORTANT: Relieve the fuel system pressure before servicing any fuel system connection.

Grasp both sides of the quick-connect fitting. Twist the female connector 1/4 turn in each direction in order to loosen any dirt within the quick-connect fitting.






2. CAUTION: Wear safety glasses when using compressed air in order to prevent eye injury.

Using compressed air, blow any dirt out of the quick-connect fitting.




3. Squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs.




4. Pull the connection apart.

INSTALLATION






1. CAUTION: In order to reduce the risk or fire and personal injury, before connecting fuel pipe fittings, always apply a few drops of clean engine oil to the male pipe ends.

This will ensure proper reconnection and prevent a possible fuel leak.

2. During normal operation, the O-rings located in the female connector will swell and may prevent proper reconnection if not lubricated.
3. Apply a few drops of clean engine oil to the male fuel pipe end.




4. Push both sides of the quick-connect fitting together in order to cause the retaining tabs/fingers to snap into place.




5. Once installed, pull on both sides of the quick-connect fitting in order to make sure the connection is secure.
