Canister Vent Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.




2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the spare tire.




4. Disconnect the vent solenoid electrical connector.




5. Disconnect the vacuum hose.




6. Bend back the tang on the bracket.




7. Remove the vent solenoid.

INSTALLATION




1. Slide the vent solenoid onto the bracket.




2. Connect the vacuum hose




3. Install the electrical connector.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
