Brake Warning Indicator: Description and Operation

Brake Lamp

The brake warning lamp in the instrument cluster warns the driver of the following conditions:
- A loss of hydraulic fluid pressure
- Parking brake operation
- A possible malfunction in the antilock brake system
The brake lamp illuminates when one of the following switches or valves supplies ground:
- The combination valve switch
- The parking brake switch
- The brake pressure modulator valve
