Power Steering Bracket

Accessory Mounting Brackets Replacement (Power Steering Pump Bracket)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
2. Remove the engine cooling fan.
3. Remove the drive belt.

Important: Do not evacuate the air conditioning system.

4. Remove the mounting bolts for the air conditioning (A/C) compressor, if equipped.
5. Move the A/C compressor aside and support.
6. Remove the drive belt idler pulley if not equipped with A/C.
7. Remove the power steering pump pulley.




8. Remove the three bolts holding the power steering pump to the power steering pump mounting bracket.




9. Remove the three bolts and nut holding the power steering pump mounting bracket to the engine.
10. Slide the bracket oft the power steering mounting bracket stud and power steering pump.

Installation Procedure




1. Slide the power steering pump mounting bracket onto the stud and the power steering pump.
2. Install the power steering pump mounting bracket three bolts and the nut.
Tighten the power steering pump mounting bracket bolts and nut to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).




3. Install the three bolts for the power steering pump.
Tighten the power steering pump to power steering pump mounting bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
4. Install the power steering pump pulley.
5. Install the air conditioning compressor, if equipped.
6. Install the drive belt idler pulley if not equipped with A/C.
7. Install the drive belt.
8. Install the engine cooling fan.
9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
