Fan Shroud Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air inlet duct (2.2L).




2. Remove the upper fan shroud screws.




3. Disconnect the coolant recovery reservoir hose from the lower fan shroud.
4. Remove the upper fan shroud.




5. Lift the lower fan shroud just enough to disengage the locating tabs from the radiator.
6. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
7. Remove the lower fan shroud from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement.
Service and Repair

2. Place the lower fan shroud in the vehicle.
1. Position the lower fan shroud against the radiator.
2. Engage the locating tabs by pushing down.




3. Install the upper fan shroud to the vehicle.
4. Install the upper fan shroud attaching screws.
Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




5. Connect the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the lower fan shroud.
6. Install the air inlet duct (2.2L).
