Automatic Dynamic Noise Reduction

UM6 and UX1 radios have automatic Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR (R)). This system reduces background hiss on radio stereo broadcasts as well as on cassette tapes. DNR (R) is a registered trademark of National Semiconductor Corporation.
