Fuel Return Line: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION
The fuel tank, cap and lines should be inspected for damage, which could cause leakage. Inspect fuel cap for correct sealing and indications of physical damage. Replace damaged or malfunctioning parts.

CAUTION:
- Before attempting service of any type on the fuel system, always: (1) Remove negative battery cable from battery, (2) Place "No Smoking" signs near work area, (3) Be sure to have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher handy, (4) Wear safety glasses and (5) Siphon or pump fuel into an explosion-proof container, to prevent the possibility of an explosion or fire.

Make sure necessary adjustments, repairs or part replacements if wear, damage or other problems are discovered during inspection. Check to see that the pipes are not cracked and that there are no leaks.
A pipe must be replaced if either of these conditions are present.
