Accelerator Pedal Cable

REMOVAL

1. Loosen the adjust nuts of the engine control cable bracket on the Throttle Body Fuel Injection (TBI) unit.
2. Remove the cable from the TBI unit bracket.
3. Disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal.
4. Remove the cable grommet from the dash panel.
5. Remove cable assembly

INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Inspect the following items. Replace the cable if any abnormality is observed. Ensure that:
- The cable wire moves smoothly.
- The cable wire is not bent or kinked.
- There is no damage or abrasion on the cable.

INSTALLATION
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order, noting the following points:

Adjustment of accelerator cable
1. Install the accelerator cable to bracket and throttle lever.





2. Pull the outer cable to the very limit where the throttle lever starts moving. Then, adjust with the "B" nut so that the clearance between the "B" nut and bracket.
3. Push the "B" nut against the bracket and lock the cable by tightening the "A" nut.
