Thermostatic Air Cleaner Heat Shield: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Collects and heats incoming air via thermal transfer from the exhaust manifold.

LOCATION
On left exhaust manifold.

OPERATION
Intake air is collected from around the exhaust manifold. As the air passes across the manifold it heats. It the flows into the hot air tube, into air cleaner and into the engine.
