Installing Seat Belt Guides

IMPORTANT!
This installation requires only one retaining screw to secure the seat belt guide to the buckle. The seat belt guide, however; has two mounting holes to allow the guide to be installed onto either the driver or passenger side buckle. Always install the retaining screw into the mounting hole that will be most clearly visible to the customer.

1. Attach a small piece of scotch tape to the metal retainer plate and position the plate into the groove of the seat belt guide. Make sure that the mounting hole on the guide is properly aligned with the retaining plate hole, then press the retaining plate firmly in place (Figure 2).

2. Slip the seat belt guide onto the seat belt buckle. Push down on the guide until it is seated firmly on the buckle.

3. Using a small screw driver, secure the seat belt guide to the buckle with the retaining screw (Figure 3). Make sure that only the retaining screw provided in the kit is used.

IMPORTANT!
Do not use an air-driven or electrically-operated screw driver to install the screw.

4. Repeat the above steps to install the second seat belt guide.

5. Test for proper seat belt buckle operation by inserting the latch tongue into the seat belt buckle, pulling firmly on the webbing to make sure that the tongue latches, and pressing the release button to make sure that the tongue releases. Repeat this step five (5) times.

IMPORTANT!
If the front seat belt buckle fails to operate properly, call the Isuzu Care Team Line at 1-800-666-3411 for further instructions.

6. Affix a campaign label (Part No. 2-90028-700-0) adjacent to the manufacturer's identification label located inside the driver's door. Using a ball-point pen, fill in the label with Campaign Number 95V-103.009, Isuzu dealer code, and repair date (Figure 4).
