Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
3. Remove dust cover, then disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold.
4. For left side removal, remove alternator support bracket.
5. For right side removal, remove power steering pump bracket.
6. For left and/or right side removal, remove exhaust manifold retaining bolts.
7. Remove exhaust manifold from engine.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque exhaust manifold retaining bolts to 25 ft. lbs.
