Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle by frame.
2. Drain engine oil, then remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
3. Remove oil dipstick, then the radiator undercover.
4. On 4WD models, remove stone guard.
5. On all models, remove suspension crossmember.
6. On 4WD models, remove front propeller shaft.
7. On all models, remove starter motor assembly.
8. On 4WD models, remove pitman arms and idler arm.
9. Remove four front axle housing retaining bolts, then the axle housing.
10. Remove oil pan retaining bolts and nuts, then oil pan.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
