SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH

DRIVER SIDE : Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) INPUT SIGNAL

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect seat belt buckle switch (driver side) connector.
3.Check voltage between seat belt buckle switch (driver side) harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) CIRCUIT

1.Disconnect driver seat control unit connector.
2.Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and seat belt buckle switch (driver side) harness connector.





3.Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
NO- Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between seat belt buckle switch (driver side) harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH

Check seat belt buckle switch (driver side).
Refer to "DRIVER SIDE : Component Inspection" Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- Replace seat belt buckle switch (driver side). Refer to "Exploded View" Exploded View.

5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Check intermittent incident.
Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
