Diagnosis Procedure

TRUNK LID AUTO CLOSURE SYSTEM DOES NOT OPERATE

OPEN/CLOSURE FUNCTION : Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK TRUNK CLOSURE CONTROL UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check trunk closure control unit power supply and ground circuit.
Refer to "TRUNK CLOSURE CONTROL UNIT : Diagnosis Procedure" Trunk Closure Control Unit Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

2. CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH

Check trunk room lamp switch.
Refer to "Component Function Check" Trunk Room Lamp Switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

3. CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH CIRCUIT

Check trunk room lamp switch circuit.
Refer to "Component Function Check" Trunk Room Lamp Switch Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

4. REPLACE TRUNK CLOSURE CONTROL UNIT

- Replace trunk closure control unit. Refer to "TRUNK LID STRIKER : Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
- Confirm the operation after replacement.
Is the result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
