Vehicle Security Alarm Does Not Activate

VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM DOES NOT ACTIVATE

Description

Alarm does not operate when alarm operating condition is satisfied.
NOTE:
Check that vehicle is under the condition shown in "Conditions of vehicle" before starting diagnosis, and check each symptom.

CONDITIONS OF VEHICLE (OPERATING CONDITIONS)

"SECURITY ALARM SET" in "WORK SUPPORT" of "THEFT ALM" is ON when setting on CONSULT.


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK DOOR SWITCH

Check door switch.
Refer to "Component Function Check" Door Switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Replace the malfunctioning door switch

2. CHECK HOOD SWITCH

Check hood switch.
Refer to "Component Function Check" Hood Switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

3. CHECK HEADLAMP FUNCTION

Check headlamp function.
Refer to "Component Function Check" Headlamp (HI) Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

4. CHECK HORN FUNCTION

Check horn function.
Refer to "Wiring Diagram HORN -" [1][2]Electrical Diagrams.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

5. CONFIRM THE OPERATION

Confirm the operation again.
Is the result normal?
YES- Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
NO- GO TO 1.
