Retractable hard top control unit watches power supply condition of power supply (power window) terminal.

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:
If two or more DTCs are detected, refer to "DTC Inspection Priority Chart" Related Tests, Information and Procedures, and determine trouble diagnosis order.






DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.Start engine.
2.Operate retractable hard top to fully open and fully close.
3.Check "Self-Diagnostic Result" of "RETRACTABLE HARD TOP" using CONSULT.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Go to "Diagnosis Procedure" B1758.
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM

Check charging system. Refer to "Work Flow (With EXP-800 NI or GR8-1200 NI)" With EXP-800 NI or GR8-1200 NI
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

2. CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH AND POWER WINDOW SUB-SWITCH POWER SUPPLY AND

GROUND CIRCUIT
Check power window main switch and power window sub-switch power supply and ground circuit. Refer to
"POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH : Diagnosis Procedure" Power Window Main Switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

3. CHECK BCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check BCM power supply and ground circuit. Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" Power Supply and Ground Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

4. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect retractable hard top control unit connector.
3.Turn ignition switch ON.
4.Check voltage between retractable hard top control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace retractable hard top control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.
NO- GO TO 5.

5. CHECK CONTINUITY POWER WINDOW POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect BCM connector.
3.Check continuity between BCM harness connector and retractable hard top control unit harness connector.





4.Also check harness for short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace BCM. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
NO- Repair or replace harness.
