DTC Logic


DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:
If two or more DTCs are detected, refer to "DTC Inspection Priority Chart" Related Tests, Information and Procedures, and determine trouble diagnosis order.






DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.Start engine.
2.Operate retractable hard top to fully open and fully close.
3.Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Go to "Diagnosis Procedure" B171C.
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK ROOF WARNING BUZZER CIRCUIT-I

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect retractable hard top control unit harness connector and fuse block (J/B) harness connector.
3.Check voltage between retractable hard top control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK ROOF WARNING BUZZER CIRCUIT-II

1.Disconnect roof warning buzzer harness connector.
2.Check voltage between fuse block (J/B) harness connector and ground.





3.Check voltage between retractable hard top control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace warning buzzer. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
NO- Repair or replace harness or connector.

3. CHECK FUSE BLOCK (J/B)

Check fuse block (J/B). Refer to "Fuse, Connector and Terminal Arrangement" Fuse Block - Junction Box (J/B).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Replace fuse block (J/B).

4. REPLACE RETRACTABLE HARD TOP CONTROL UNIT

Replace retractable hard top control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- GO TO 5.

5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END
