VDC WARNING LAMP

Component Function Check


1. CHECK VDC WARNING LAMP FUNCTION

Check that VDC warning lamp turns ON for approx. 1 second after ignition switch is turned ON.

CAUTION:
Never start engine.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Proceed to diagnosis procedure. .


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT-


Perform diagnosis of ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) power supply and ground circuit. Refer to
Power Supply And Ground Circuit.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

2. PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS

With CONSULT
Perform self-diagnosis for "ABS".
Is any DTC detected?
YES- Check the DTC. Testing and Inspection.
NO- GO TO 3.

3. CHECK VDC WARNING LAMP SIGNAL

With CONSULT
1.Select "ABS", "DATA MONITOR" and "SLIP/VDC LAMP" according to this order.
2.Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3.Check that data monitor displays "On" for approx. 1 second after ignition switch is turned ON, and then changes to "Off".

CAUTION:
Never start engine.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Check combination meter. Combination Meter.
NO- Replace ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Removal And Installation.
