Erase DTCs From All Systems

Erase DTCs from all Systems





1. Click on the Home icon (top left corner of the C-III screen). See Figure 37 example.

2. Wait for the Detecting VI/MI in progress message to clear (picture sample not shown).

3. Select the detected VI from the list (see Figure 37).

4. Select Connect (see Figure 37).

5. Wait for the Checking the firmware version message to clear (picture sample not shown).





6. Select the Vehicle Name (Infiniti M37/M56) and then the Model Year (2011). See Figure 38 example.

7. Select Select (see Figure 38).





8. Make sure the correct Vehicle Name is displayed (see Figure 39 example).

9. Select Confirm (see Figure 39).





10. Select Diagnosis (see Figure 40).

11. Wait for System Call to complete and the CAN Diagnosis progress bar to reach 51%.

^ When the CAN diagnosis progress bar reaches 51%, the process icons in the Process Guide Area at the top of the screen will light (become enabled).





12. When the icons light click on the Final Check icon (see Figure 41).





13. CAN diagnosis will run again. When the progress bar reaches 51% and the icons light click on the Duplication Test icon (see Figure 42).





14. When the screen in Figure 43 appears click on All Erase.

15. Click on Yes (see Figure 43).

16. Use the scroll bar to scroll down the page and make sure all DTCs are erased (see Figure 43).

^ For any DTCs that do not erase: diagnose perform repairs and erase DTCs.

^ Refer to the ESM as needed.

^ Diagnosis and repair for DTCs is not covered by this campaign.

17. Close C-III and then turn the ignition OFF.

18. Turn the ignition ON but do not start the engine.





^ Make sure the 4WAS light goes out in less than two (2) seconds. See Figure 44.
