1.CHECK LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LAMP OPERATION
Check low tire pressure warning lamp operation. Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp.
Is inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Check low tire pressure warning lamp. Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp.
2.CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING CHECK SWITCH OPERATION
1. Ground the tire pressure warning check switch harness connector terminal.
2. Check the low tire pressure warning lamp blinks.
Is self-diagnosis active?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Proceed to trouble diagnosis procedure. SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING CHECK SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn the ignition switch ON.

CAUTION:
Never start the engine.
2. Check the voltage between tire pressure warning check switch connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace the low tire pressure warning control unit. Removal And Installation.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WARNING CHECK SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect low tire pressure warning control unit harness connector
3. Check the continuity between low tire pressure warning control unit harness connector and tire pressure warning check switch connector.





4. Check the continuity between low tire pressure warning control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning harness or connector.
3.CHECK LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING CONTROL UNIT
Check the low tire pressure warning control unit input/output signal. Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Check low tire pressure warning control unit pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts.
