POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH:_:CHANGEOVER SWITCH





Component Function Check
1.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH FUNCTION
Check the operation on "MIR CHNG SW-R" or "MIR CHNG SW-L" in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-III.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Changeover switch function is OK.
NO - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch) connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check voltage between power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch) harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit connector.
3. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch) harness connector.





4. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Service and Repair .
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3.CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH (DOOR MIRROR REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH) GROUND
CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check continuity between power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch) harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
4.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH
Check changeover switch on power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch).
SEE Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 5.
NO - Replace power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch). Front Power Window Switch, "Removal and Installation".
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident. Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END




Component Inspection
1.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch) connector.
3. Check continuity between power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch) terminals.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Replace power window main switch (door mirror remote control switch). Front Power Window Switch.
