POWER WINDOW MOTOR - DRIVER SIDE





Description
Door glass moves UP/DOWN by receiving the signal from power window main switch.




Component Function Check
1.CHECK POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT
Check driver side power window motor operation with power window main switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Driver side power window motor is OK.
NO - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver side power window motor connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check voltage between driver side power window motor harness connector and ground.





Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - GO TO 3.
2.CHECK POWER WINDOW MOTOR
Check driver side power window motor. SEE Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Replace driver side power window motor. Removal And Installation.
3.CHECK POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect power window main switch connector.
3. Check continuity between power window main switch harness connector and driver side power window motor harness connector.





4. Check continuity between power window main switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace power window main switch. Service and Repair.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
4.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END




Component Inspection

COMPONENT INSPECTION
1.CHECK DRIVER SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver side power window motor connector.
3. Check motor operation by connecting the battery voltage directly to driver side power window motor connector.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Driver side power window motor is OK.
NO - Replace driver side power window motor. Removal And Installation.
