DOOR MIRROR REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH - CHANGEOVER SWITCH





Description
Change over switch is integrated into door mirror remote control switch.
Change over switch has three positions (L, N and R).
It changes operating door mirror motor by transmitting control signal to automatic drive positioner control unit.




Component Function Check
1.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH FUNCTION
Check the operation on "MIR CHNG SW-R" or "MIR CHNG SW-L" in the "DATA MONITOR" mode using
CONSULT-III.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Change over switch function is OK.
NO - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.




Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect door mirror remote control switch connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check voltage between door mirror remote control switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit connector.
3. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and door mirror remote control switch harness connector.





4. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Removal And Installation.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3.CHECK DOOR MIRROR REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check continuity between door mirror remote control switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
4.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH
Check door mirror remote control switch (changeover switch). SEE Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 5.
NO - Replace door mirror remote control switch (changeover switch). Removal And Installation.
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident. Intermittent Incident.
- INSPECTION END




Component Inspection
1.CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect door mirror remote control switch connector.
3. Check continuity between door mirror remote control switch terminals.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Replace door mirror remote control switch. Removal And Installation.
