DTC DETECTION LOGIC
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE
With CONSULT-III
1. Drive at a speed of 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more for several minutes without stopping.
2. Perform "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" in "AIR PRESSURE MONITOR" of "BCM".
CAUTION:
Perform within 15 minutes after stop the vehicle.
Is DTC "C1734" detected?
YES - Perform trouble diagnosis. SEE Diagnosis Procedure.
NO - INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK BCM POWER SUPPLY
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM harness connector.
3. Check voltage between BCM harness connector terminals and ground.
Is the power supply normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Check the following. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damage parts.
- 40 A fusible link [No. K located in the fuse block]. Fuse, Fusible Link And Relay Box.
- 10 A fuse [No. 10 located in the fuse block (J/B)]. Fuse Block - Junction Box (J/B).
- Harness for short or open between battery and BCM harness connector M118 terminal 1.
- Harness for short or open between battery and BCM harness connector M119 terminal 11.
- Check the Battery voltage.
2.CHECK BCM GROUND
Check the continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
3.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN BCM AND TIRE PRESSURE RECEIVER
1. Disconnect tire pressure receiver harness connector.
2. Check the continuity between BCM harness connector and tire pressure receiver harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace damaged parts.
4.CHECK BCM
Check the BCM input/output signal. Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - GO TO 5.
5.CHECK BCM HARNESS CONNECTOR
Check the BCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace BCM. Exploded View.
NO - Check for looseness or damage at the harness connector pins of the low tire pressure warning control unit. Repair or replace if necessary.
