SUSPENSION ARM


Removal and Installation


REMOVAL
1. Remove tires with power tool. Exploded View.
2. Remove diag brace. Exploded View.
3. Remove stabilizer connecting rod. Exploded View.
4. Remove drive shaft. Exploded View.
5. Remove cotter pin of suspension arm ball joint, and loosen nut. Exploded View.
6. Remove suspension arm (rear suspension member side).
7. Use the ball joint remover (commercial service tool) to remove suspension arm from axle housing.

CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage ball joint boot.
- Tighten temporarily mounting nut to prevent damage to threads and to prevent ball joint remover from coming off.
8. Remove suspension arm.
9. Remove stabilizer connecting rod mounting bracket. Exploded View.

INSTALLATION
Note the following and, install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform final tightening of rear suspension member installation position (rubber bussing), under unladen conditions with tires on level ground.
