VDC OFF SWITCH


Description

VDC OFF switch can deactivate (turn OFF) the VDC/TCS function by pressing the VDC OFF switch.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK VDC OFF SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
3. Disconnect VDC OFF switch harness connector.
4. Check the continuity between VDC OFF switch harness connector and ABS actuator and electric unit
(control unit) harness connector.





5. Check the continuity between VDC OFF switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace error-detected parts.
2.CHECK VDC OFF SWITCH
Check VDC OFF switch. Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Replace VDC OFF switch. Service and Repair.
3.CHECK CONNECTOR
1. Disconnect combination meter harness connector.
2. Check connector and terminal for deformation, disconnection, looseness, etc.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair or replace error-detected parts.
4.CHECK VDC OFF SWITCH SIGNAL
Select "ABS", "DATA MONITOR" and "OFF SW" in order with CONSULT-III, and perform the VDC OFF switch inspection.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Replace ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Exploded View.
