Description

Tonneau board switch detects tonneau board condition for the precondition.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK TONNEAU BOARD SWITCH POWER SUPPLY
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect tonneau board switch connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check the voltage between tonneau board switch harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
2.CHECK TONNEAU BOARD SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check the continuity between tonneau board switch harness connector and ground.





3. Check harness for short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3.REPLACE TONNEAU BOARD SWITCH
Replace tonneau board switch.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - GO TO 4.
4.REPLACE RETRACTABLE HARD TOP CONTROL UNIT
1. Replace retractable hard top control unit. Refer to Retractable Hard Top System.
2. Refer to Special Repair Requirement.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - GO TO 5.
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to Intermittent Incident.
