CONSULT-II SOFTWARE CARDS

APPLIED VEHICLES: All CONSULT-II Compatible Infiniti Vehicles

SERVICE INFORMATION
There are now three software cards used with the CONSULT-II tester. Updates for all three cards are available through ASIST as of the March 15, 2000 CD. The Diagnostic (blue) and NATS (purple) software cards were previously provided with the CONSULT-II Kit. The latest ECM Reprogramming software card is orange in color.

If you have trouble with the operation of any card, you can restore the basic software with ASIST. Refer to the software card specific linked procedure provided in this bulletin for detail, or the "CONSULT-II Diagnostic Software Update procedure" in the printed copy of this bulletin.

NOTE: Software updates will be announced via Technical Service Bulletins whenever new software is available.

Following are illustrations of each of the software cards:





1. Diagnostic (Blue) Software Card (see Figure 1):

The Diagnostic software card is used for diagnosis of:

^ Engine
^ Smart Entrance
^ Automatic Transmission
^ Cruise Control (ASCD)
^ Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
^ Traction Control System (TCS)
^ Airbag
^ HICAS
^ In-Vehicle Multiplexing System (IVMS)
^ All Mode 4 WD
^ Active Suspension
^ Auto Drive Positioner

2. NATS (Purple) Software Card (see Figure 2):

The NATS software card is used for diagnosis and initialization of:

^ Nissan Anti-Theft System (NATS)
^ In-Vehicle Communication System (IVCS)
