I30 Vehicles

1. Open the vehicle's trunk and pull open the jack storage door (see Figure 1A).

2. Remove the jack from its frame (see Figure 1A).

3. Clear out any items obstructing the wheel well area.





4. Pull the antenna and sunroof drain hoses out of the wheel well (see Figure 1B).

NOTE:
The antenna and sunroof drain hoses should come out of the wheel well attached to a 3-way connector (see Figure 1B).

5. Disconnect each hose from the 3-way connector (see Figure 1B).

6. Inspect the drain hoses for signs of dirt and rust. Inspect the 3-way connector for corrosion/dirt build up.

A. If the drain hoses are clear and the 3-way connector is corrosion/dirt free, proceed as follows:

1) Reattach the antenna and sunroof drain hoses to the 3-way connector.

2) Feed the hoses and connector back into the wheel well.

3) Re-insert the 3-way connector into the original drain hole.

4) Put the vehicle up on a hoist.

5) Retrieve the original grommet that was attached to the 3-way connector

NOTE:
The grommet may still be attached to the drain bole located on the right/passenger side rear underbody (behind the wheel well) however, it may have fallen out when the drain hoses were pulled out in step 4 above.

6) Reattach the original grommet onto the end of the 3-way connector and secure it to the opening of the original drain hole.

7) Check the power supply for the power antenna:

^ If power and ground are available when turning the radio on and off with the ignition on, proceed to step 21.

^ If power and ground are not available when turning the radio on and off with the ignition on, use the Service Manual to diagnose and repair the antenna's power supply.

B. If the drain hoses show signs of dirt and rust and/or the 3-way connector has corrosion/dirt build up, proceed with step 7 below.

NOTE:
The 3-way connector will not be re-used in the following procedure.

7. Put the vehicle up on a hoist.

8. Retrieve the original rubber grommet that was attached to the 3-way connector.

NOTE:
The grommet may still be attached to the drain hole located on the right/passenger side rear underbody (behind the wheel well) however, it may have fallen out when the drain hoses were pulled out in step 4.





9. Measure and mark a spot above the original drain hole (see Figure 2 for measurement information).





10. Drill a 19 mm (3/4 inch) diameter hole in the sheet metal at the location marked in step 9 (see Figure 3).

NOTE:
It may be necessary to remove the muffler assembly to provide clearance for drilling.

11. Spray the new drilled drain hole a minimum of three times with Nissan Rust Preventative (P/N 999MP-AE001P) and allow to dry properly.

12. Lower the vehicle on the hoist.

13. Open the trunk. Feed the sunroof (black) and antenna (clear) drain hoses back into the wheel well.
