SERVICE INFORMATION

If the power audio antenna is inoperative on an applied I30 or G20, the antenna assembly circuit board may be corroded due to improper water drainage.

Should the incident occur and if there are signs of restrictions in the sunroof and antenna drain system (such as corrosion/dirt build up in the 3-way connector and dirt and rust in the drain hoses), install a new power antenna assembly and use the vehicle specific service procedure in this bulletin to reroute the sunroof and antenna drains.

It there are no signs of restriction in the sunroof and antenna drain system, the sunroof and antenna drains do not need to be rerouted. Inspect the power antenna assembly and its wiring harness and repair as necessary.
