Windshield Deicer Switch

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the crash pad lower panel
3. Remove the cluster fascia panel.
4. Remove the crash pad side garnish (A) after removing the screws.




5. Remove the center fascia panel (A) after removing the screws.




6. Remove the connectors (A).




7. Remove the screws and heater control unit keyboard (A).






Installation

1. Install the heater control unit keyboard after connecting the connectors.
2. Install the center fascia panel.
3. Install the crash pad side garnish, cluster fascia panel, crash pad lower panel.

Inspection

1. Check BCM input/output specification of windshield deicer switch using the scan tool. If the specification is abnormal, replace the windshield deicer switch module.








2. Select option "Input/output monitoring".












3. To check the input value of windshield deicer switch in force mode, select option "Actuation test".
