Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair





Replacement

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable
2. Remove the floor console.
3. Disconnect the yaw rate & lateral G sensor connector.
4. Remove the mounting bolts (A).

Tightening torque:
6.9 - 8.8 Nm (0.7 - 0.9 kgf.m, 5.1 - 6.5 Ib-ft)




5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Calibration (EPB System Only)
Lateral G-Sensor and Longitudinal G-Sensor calibration must be performed as following cases.
- Replacement of the sensor cluster.
- Replacement of HECU.
- Detection of DTC codes (C1275, C1283)
